Andrej Brna

Honorary consul of the Republic of Uganda in the Slovak Republic

Andrej Brna was born in 1981 in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. He studied Faculty of Natural Sciences, Department of Nuclear Chemistry at Comenius University in Bratislava and Faculty of Social and Economic Relations at University of Alexander Dubcek in Trencin. For some time he also studied in USA.

Andrej Brna founded REALIZ, a company specializing in land aggregation in Slovakia, in 2000. With this company he has successfully completed numerous projects in the Slovak republic. For example land aggregation in Bratislava – Zahorska Bystrica with 900 individual land owners. He has sold this project for EUR 30 millions. Nowadays REALIZ provides complex services including land acquisition, preparation and realization of real estate development projects in Central and Eastern Europe.  REALIZ has in its portfolio wide range of projects, such as residential, multi-functional, administrative, logistics, industrial and recreation. One of the major projects of REALIZ is One Fashion Outlet, the first outlet shopping centre in Slovakia located near Bratislava with expected total cost of EUR 65 millions.

In 2006 Mr. Brna also co-founded Bratislava Greenfields Management Limited (Bratislava Greenfields). It is a joint venture between two regional companies Reform Capital and REALIZ, backed by a group of institutional investors (Apollo Management, Credit Suisse, Cyrus Capital Partners, ESO Capital, Monarch Alternative Capital and Pentagon Capital). Bratislava Greenfields operates with equity capital of approximately US$220 million plus additional bank capital, invested across three land-aggregation and real estate development projects in Bratislava. Biggest project of the company is Centrop City. It is also the largest land aggregation project in Central and Eastern Europe targets an area of 600 ha of which the company currently owns close to 300 ha. The area has a great potential to develop as a new city quarter – with a mix of residential, office, industrial and commercial developments.
